“You … you … I really don’t find the right words,” Aiba blurred out. “You really forgot about the date with my parents – again.”
“Masaki, I didn’t forget, I thought we’d go tomorrow,” Ohno said calmly.
Aiba snorted. “You always mix up the dates. Can’t you be in time at least one time a year?”
“I am sorry,” Ohno shrugged. Aiba hated this attitude. It always made him feel like Ohno wasn’t really interested in him.
“You are always sorry, but you know, I have the feeling that I am not important enough for you, so you don’t think that you need to be in time for whatever.” Aiba was close to crying.
Ohno robbed closer to Aiba, placing his hands around Aiba’s shoulders. “No, that’s not true. Masaki, listen to me. I know I am not easy, I am pretty airheaded, but you are the best thing that happened to me.”
Aiba looked at the other. “Really?”
Ohno nodded. “You know, I forgot about that date, because I strolled through the city. You know what tomorrow is?”
“Our first anniversary,” Aiba said. He wiped away some tears.
“Yes, and I searched for a perfect present for you, and then I completely forgot about everything else,” Ohno explained. He pulled a package out of his pocket and handed it to Aiba.
Aiba unwrapped it and smiled a little. “A necklace with a dog pendant?” Aiba looked at Ohno and placed a kiss on his lips. “I forgive you for a last time, but next time you forget …”
He wasn’t able to talk further, because Ohno occupied Aiba’s lips with his.
