Advent calendar Day 15 (Sakumiya)
Title: Advent Calendar Day 15

Summary: A cat for Christmas is not what Nino thinks of...

“You are nuts, right?” Nino grumbled. He looked at Sho, who knelt on the ground, his hand stroking over the soft fur of a cat.
“No, think of it, Nino.” Sho looked up at him. He smiled at Nino. “This cat is so sweet, and she came like a Christmas wonder to us.”
Nino laughed out. “A Christmas wonder? Sho, she crossed your way when you walked up here. She didn’t save your life or something like this.”
Sho stroked the cat under her head and she looked up, her eyes half closed, purring loudly. “She is so adorable.”
Nino rolled his eyes. “When did you start liking cats?”
Sho smiled. “I think it’s nice to have someone waiting for you when you come home after work,” Sho explained. “And a cat will join you on the couch when you are alone at home.”
Nino knelt next to Sho. The cat came up to him, brushing along his legs. “Sho, I am never alone, because I live with you,” Nino said, pulling his hand around Sho’s shoulder.
“But I will go on a two week trip,” Sho sighed. So that was the reason – Sho felt bad because of leaving him alone.
“I will make a pyjama party with Aiba-chan, and a video-gaming session for hours and hours, I’ll have no time to feel lonely,” Nino grinned. “Even though I’ll miss you,” he added to prevent Sho being hurt.
“But she is really cute,” Sho explained.
“Do you really want to keep it?” Nino whined.
“I bought it, so yes,” Sho admitted.
“You … bought?” Nino stuttered. “Okay, you know what, we'll keep it. So I am always reminded that you'll return home, okay? And please don’t bring any further animals to our home – a turtle and a cat are enough.”
Sho laughed out loud. “Okay, I promise,” he said and bent forward to leave a kiss on Nino’s lips.
