Title: Advent Calendar Day 22

Summary: Finding the perfect present isn't always easy.
Notes: Written for my advent calendar for yoru_no_hikaru


“And you really think that he’ll like this present?” Sho twisted the item in his hands. He had no idea about video games.

“Me neither, but Nino talked about that game a lot during the last days.” Aiba shrugged.

“Are you sure that it’s this one?” Sho held the game up. Dragon Age Inquisition was written on it, and a strange creature was spread over the cover. “That looks strange.”

“You should already know that Nino is strange,” Aiba chuckled.

“Masaki.” Sho rolled his eyes. “I just want a perfect present.”

Meanwhile on the other side of the town …

“And you think that this is something Sho would like?” Nino asked. He held the book in his hands and turned it to read the summary on the backside. He almost fell asleep while doing it.

“He said something about the poem collection.” Jun pointed at the book.

Nino looked at his friends. “I just can’t imagine that someone likes something like this. It’s … boring …”

Jun chuckled. “Yeah, then he’ll definitely like it.”

Nino rolled his eyes. “J, you aren’t a big help. I just want to find the perfect present.”

“I am sure he’ll like it,” Jun said with a smile.

On Christmas Eve …

Nino turned in the bed. Sho next to him had his eyes closed. A small smile curled around his lips. Nino robbed closer. “I loved the present,” he whispered at Sho.

Sho opened his eyes and looked at Nino. He placed a kiss on Nino’s nose. “Me too.”

LOL, Sho. XD He's so determined not to make a mistake. And it's really cute that we wants to get something Nino would like even though he doesn't understand a thing about it. <3

Nino too, it's adorable how he wonders why Sho would want to have something like a poem collection. XDDD (Ninomiya-kun, poems are great, please try to read some. :D ) He gets it too, so Sho will smile. Somehow I feel like it's really special for him to spend money on something he would never buy for himself. ^^"

Their matched minds are downright lovely, how they both try to find something that the other will enjoy. <3 <3 And they find something too. To me, just knowing that the other made an effort is worth ten times more than the actual present, which makes all of this all the sweeter still. ^^
